Assoc. Dr. Hande Karadağ is a faculty member at Yaşar University Faculty of Business, Department of Business Administration and also is the director of YÜSEM - Lifelong Learning Center. Having graduated from Marmara English Business Administration, accounting-finance department with a degree, Dr. Karadag continued her academic career in USA, firstly at the Isenberg School of Management and after that, Wharton School of the University of Pennslyvania. Dr. Karadag received her doctorate degree and associate professorship in the field of strategic management. Having more than 1000 citations, Dr. Karadag's articles on management and entrepreneurship are published in reputable SSCI indexed Q1 and Q2 journals, including International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research, Canadian Journal of Social Sciences, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research, Canadian Journal of Social Sciences, Personnel Review and The International Journal of Management Education. One of Dr. Karadag and Prof. Faruk Sahin’s co-authored papers published in the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior and Research journal was awarded as “Highly Commended Paper” by Emerald Publishing in November 2020. Before joining Yaşar University, Dr. Karadağ served as the Director of the Institute of Social Sciences, the Director of the MEF YABEM Lifelong Learning Center and the MBA Program Coordinator. Dr. Karadag's current research areas include dynamic managerial skills, entrepreneurial management, innovation management and cognitive entrepreneurship. In addition to her articles, her book "Strategic Financial Management for Small and Medium-sized Companies" was published by Emerald Publishing in 2015. Dr. In addition to her academic studies, Dr. Karadag worked as a manager at Uni Credit Group for 19 years as the portfolio manager of many foreign and domestic companies and groups, including Alarko Holding, Eczacıbaşı Holding, Colgate Palmolive, IKEA and Hedef Alliance Holding, followed by a 7 years’ branch management assignment. Having the title of Senator in JCI (Junior Chamber International), Dr. Karadağ also served as the Country Vice President of the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship for two terms.
