Short CV

Evrim Işık studied English Language and Literature at Çankaya University, Ankara. After graduating in 2008, she worked as a translator and interpreter at different institutions in İstanbul for two years, and she also participated in projects carried out by the Prime Ministry as interpreter. At the end of 2009, Işık moved to İzmir and started to work as an English Language Instructor at İzmir University where she held various positions for five years. She registered for the MA programme in English Literature at Yaşar University in 2008 and completed her thesis in 2016. She is currently doing her PhD at Pamukkale University. Işık has also been Research Assistant in the Department of English Language and Literature at Yaşar University since 2014. Her fields of interest are Gothic, Fantastic, and Dystopian Literature and Psychoanalysis.
