The director of the Center for Mediterranean Studies and a full-time academic at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Department of International Relations at Yaşar University. After completing his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Department of Politics and Public Administration at Bilkent University in 2002, he completed two Master's educations, one at Marmara University from EU Politics and International Relations Department and the other at the University of Kent from International Conflict Analysis department in 2005. Dr. İşeri completed his Ph.D. at Keele University from the International Relations department in 2008. He started his academic career as a Teaching Assistant at Keele University of International Relations Department. He continued his academic career as a full-time lecturer at the University of Kadir Has in the period of 2009-2013. Serving one more year as Assistant Professor at Yaşar University, he was appointed to the Associate Professorship at the same university. As of 2019, İşeri has been appointed as a full Professor. Prof. İşeri has been involved in various international research projects. İşeri has published academic articles in numerous books and journals in Turkey and abroad, including Geopolitics, Journal of Balkan and Near East Studies, Energy Policy, Turkish Studies, Environment, and Planning C: Politics and Space, South European Society and Politics, and European Journal of Communication.- Email
