Lisa Hanae Otani is a Prep Class English Instructor and has been with Yaşar University since 2018. Before coming to Turkey, she was an EFL Instructor at Sakolrajwittayanukul School in Thailand, where she taught Immersion and Intensive English Classes in 2017. She has a passion for assisting students and building bridges between communities, and at Central Michigan University (CMU), she worked in the Office of International affairs assisting international and study abroad students. While at CMU, she volunteered as a supplemental instruction tutor for the English Language Institute for two years. Previously, she also worked as a research assistant on various Parkinson’s disease and psychological studies. She holds a BA in Anthropology (minor in Psychology) and Master of Arts in TESOL from Central Michigan University.
