Eda Paykoç Özçelik received her bachelor degree in interior architecture and environmental design from Bilkent University; Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture; Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 2010. Between 2010-2011; she worked in a project named “Campus for All” under the scope of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Master Programme; Faculty of Fine Arts from Hacettepe University. Afterwards, she completed her graduate degree from Bilkent University; Graduate School of Economics and Social Sciences; Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design with the Master of Fine Arts thesis entitled “Walking Patterns in Shopping Malls: The Case of Ankamall” which was supervised by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Feyzan Erkip in 2013. In 2019, she received her Ph.D. degree with the thesis entitled “Analysis of Walkability Measurement Tools” which was supervised by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tonguç Akış from İzmir Institute of Technology; Institute of Engineering and Architecture; Architecture Program. She worked as research assisstant at Bilkent University; Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design between 2010-2013. In Yaşar University, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, she worked as research assistant between 2013-2019 and as lecturer between 2019-2020. Starting from 2020, she is continuing as assistant professor. She is also a member of 4T Design and Design History of Society. Her research areas include walkability/walking and space, design for all (different users), history of modern interiors and architecture, housing culture, cultural and social sustainability.- Email
