Asiye Öztürk completed her undergraduate education in the Department of English Translation and Interpreting at Hacettepe University in 2009. In 2012, she received her master's degree in English Translation and Interpretation at Hacettepe University. She undertook her PhD in Cognitive Science Department at Middle East Technical University, Graduate School of Informatics. Her research areas of interest are interpreting and interpreter training, cognitive dimensions of interpreting, memory process in interpreting and neuroimaging studies in interpreting. She started her academic career as a research assistant at Atılım University, Ankara in 2009. She started working at Yaşar University as a part-time lecturer in 2018, and as of 2023 she is working as a full-time academician at Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, Department of English Translation and Interpreting.
