Short CV

Ian completed a BA and MA Hons in History at the University of Cambridge, before going to the College of Law in London to become a lawyer. After working for 10 years in the legal profession in the City of London, he completed a CELTA course in teaching English as a foreign language in İstanbul and subsequently a Masters in Education at the University of Bath. He joined Yaşar University in 2009. He is currently the Academic Assistant Director of the School of Foreign Languages and is responsible for the English for Academic Purposes and Modern Languages programs. He was also the Self-Study Coordinator for the Prep Class’s recent CEA accreditation application and is responsible for all ongoing CEA accreditation compliance. Ian also develops policy and procedures for the School of Foreign Languages in areas such as staff performance evaluation and program review. He is also a site reviewer for the CEA.
