Esen Kara received her B.A. in the Department of English Language and Literature at Ankara University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in American Culture and Literature at Dokuz Eylül University. Her Ph.D. dissertation focused on the “the right to the city” movement and its representations in the transnational American novel. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Yaşar University English Language and Literature Department and teaching graduate and undergraduate courses on post-colonial literature, modern Turkish novel, and classical literature. Her post-doctoral research focuses on contemporary Turkish literature and the intersections of post-colonial studies and critical post-humanism.- Phone 0232-570 8830
