Gizem Kurt is a lecturer at the department of Business Administration at Yasar University since 2015. She gives both undergraduate and graduate level lectures in the area of business and marketing. Between 2007-2015 she had carried out research assistantship at the same department. She received her B.A.(2004) degree from Celal Bayar University, M.A.(2008) and Ph.D.(2013) degrees from Dokuz Eylul University. During 2012-2013 academic year, she studied as a visiting PhD student at The Paul Merage School of Business at University of California, Irvine with International Research Fellowship Programme of TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey). During her Ph.D. studies she also visited The University of Pisa for an academic year (2010-2011) as an exchange student. In 2014-2015 fall semester, she worked as a post-doctoral researcher at San Diego State University, Collage of Business Administration with a fellowship provided by TÜBİTAK to post-doctoral researchers. Her main research areas are consumer behavior, consumer culture theory and international marketing.
