Michelle Rajotte worked as an English as a Foreign Language instructor at Yaşar School of Foreign Languages in the Preparatory School from 2012 to 2016. Since that time, she has continued as an EFL instructor in English for Academic Purposes. Her relationship with Turkey began in 1999 as a USIA English Teaching Fellow, where she worked as an instructor to Turkish teachers of English in the MATEFL Program at Bilkent University in Ankara. Since 2008, she has taught content-based English to international students in the Summer English Language Studies program at the University of California, Berkeley, during the summer months. Prior to her assignment at Yaşar University, she provided students with the opportunity to experience blended learning at the Community College of Rhode Island to assist in workforce education. In addition, through the Institute for Labor Studies and Research, taught language and business skills to help adult students succeed in today's competitive economy. As a supervisor and ESL instructor at the Genesis Center in Providence, Rhode Island, she provided support to new Americans to improve English proficiency as well as become self-sufficient in their new environment. She holds a BS in Journalism from Southern Connecticut State University and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Rhode Island College.
