Short CVMichele Rajotte has been an English as a Foreign Language instructor in Yaşar’s Prep School since 2012. Her relationship with Turkey began in 1999 when she was a USIA English Teaching Fellow assisting Turkish teachers of English in the MATEFL Program at Bilkent University in Ankara. Since 2008, during the summer months, she has taught content-based English to international students in the Summer English Language Program at the University of California, Berkeley. Previous to her position at Yaşar, interest in computer assisted language learning provided an opportunity to teach blended learning at the Community College of Rhode Island to assist students in Workforce Education. In addition, through the Institute for Labor Studies & Research, she taught language and work skills to help adult learners succeed in today’s competitive economy. A long-held position as a supervisor and ESL instructor at the Genesis Center in Providence, Rhode Island, provided support to new Americans and helped them become proficient in English as well as self-sufficient in their new environment. She holds a BS degree in Journalism from Southern Connecticut State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Rhode Island College.
