Short CV

Selin Aktan graduated from Anadolu University, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Interior Design, where she started her undergraduate education in 2014 and graduated as the top of the department and the third in the faculty in 2018. After her undergraduate education, she started the Integrated PhD programme with a full scholarship in the Department of Design Studies at the University of Economics in 2019. As of today, she is at the thesis stage and is writing her doctoral thesis on spatial behaviour in interiors. During her doctoral studies, she has carried out urban-oriented studies with a multidisciplinary approach as well as interior space. At the same time, she has been working as a research assistant at Yaşar University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design since October 2019. Her main research interests include social sustainability, spatial behaviour, smart cities and creative industries.
