İrem Deniz Akçam completed her undergraduate education in Industrial Design Department of İzmir Economy University in 2016 with honor degree. While continuing her undergraduate studies, she studied at Universitat de Barcelona with Erasmus + program. She participated in Modeko and İzmir Pet Fair with her projects. With her undergraduate final project, she was chosen as a finalist in Xone Ceramics Design Competition. She continued her education at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design with a master's degree in Art and Design. She has studied art criticism, experimental design, fashion accessory products, digital photography and video techniques in her master's degree. She completed her master thesis with her supervisor Prof. Dr. Mehmet Koştumoğlu in 2018. She completed her PhD in Art and Design Proficiency in Art Program at Yaşar University under the advisorship of Assist.Prof. Mehmet Kahyaoğlu in April, 2024. She conducts interdisciplinary studies and her thesis work includes branches of industrial design, photography, graphic design and sculpture. At the same time, she is graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Anadolu University. In September 2018, she won the 3rd prize in an interface design competition which is arranged by Samsung and Dezeen and the project had a chance to be exhibited on 2018 IFA / Berlin. Her research interests include digital reconstruction, virtual reality, 3D modelling and visualisation, furniture design, ceramics design.
