Oya Mortan Sevi was graduated from Ege University, Department of Psychology in 2006. After getting her bachelor’s degree, she completed M.A. and Ph.D. in the area of Clinical Psychology at the Social Sciences Institute of Ege University. She started her academic career as a part time lecturer at Bahçeşehir University Department of Psychology in Istanbul and continued as a full-time assistant professor and afterwards an associate professor. She also served as the Head of the Psychology Department at the same university. Her studies investigating the effectiveness of evidence-based therapies in treatment of schizophrenia have been published in international peer-reviewed journals and granted significant awards in Turkey. She has an internationally published book and book chapters focused on the applications of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She takes part in the Editorial Board of the Current Approaches in Psychiatry Journal as an associate editor. She is currently working as a full-time associate professor at Yaşar University, Department of Psychology.
