Short CVTrevor Hope completed his B.A. degree in Modern and Medieval Languages (French and German) at Cambridge University and went on to receive M.A. degrees from Cambridge and from Cornell University, where he completed his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature in 1995. He began his full-time teaching career at the University of Rochester, teaching Comparative Literature within the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures before returning to teach for three years in the Department of Comparative Literature at Cornell University. He has also been employed at both Bilkent University and Ankara University, where he taught American Culture and Literature from 2004 to 2010. He has been teaching in the Department of English Language and Literature at Yaşar University since September 2010 Chair of the Department of Translation and Interpreting.
