Assoc.Prof.Dr. Gökçe Özdemir was born in 1977, in Izmir. After graduating from Izmir Private Fatih College, she studied in the Department of Economics in Economics and Administrative Sciences Faculty of Dokuz Eylul University. She graduated from the master's program in Tourism Management of Dokuz Eylul University Social Sciences Institution as a scientific expert. She studied her doctorate degree in Tourism Management of Dokuz Eylul University Social Sciences Institution in 2004-2007. She had research studies for her Ph.D. thesis at the University of Brighton in England. After then, she had her Associate Professorship in the field of Marketing in 2012. She has been in Sweden, Spain, Greece, and Belgium as a visiting instructor. She has several articles that are published in national and international journals and studies presented in national and international conferences in addition to book chapters published in both national and international publishers. She has also a book of “Destination Marketing” in Turkish published by Detay Publisher. She is currently the Tourism Consultant of Karşıyaka Municipality and the General Secretary of ACEEPT (Association des Centres Européens d’Education Professionnelle en Tourisme) Association of European Training Centres in Tourism. She also participated in several tourism projects of Karşıyaka, Manisa, Bornova and Bayraklı Municipalities. She has been working at Yasar University since 2003, she is currently in the Department of Tourism Guidance in the School of Applied Sciences at Yasar University.- Email
