Ahmet Egemen Tanık is an instructor of School of Foreign Languages at Yaşar University. Before YU, he worked as an instructor at Ege University School of Foreign Languages for 7 years teaching 30 hours a week as a part-time instructor, and prior to that Ankara University, TÖMER for a year. During those eight years and in the following five in his current school, he has had the opportunity to work with learners of various ages and levels of proficiencies, collecting on-the-job experience on the techniques and approaches he was previously taught about, learning from colleagues both young and old, green and seasoned. In addition to a teaching certificate, he has over 10000 class hours under his belt. Also, in the 2016-2017 academic year, which marked his tenth year in teaching, he was certified in TESOL by the SIT Graduate Institute. Covering nearly all of the online period, between September 2020 and January 2023, he has fulfilled duties as an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) coordinator, trying to minimize the damages done during this period. He likes well-written science-fiction stories, computer games and movies, taking nature walks, travelling, and listening to quality music.
