Yasin OZARSLAN has extensive experience in educational technology management in higher education. He received a B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department and an M.S. degree in Organizational Management Program. He has a PhD in Distance Education Program of Social Sciences Institute of Anadolu University. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of New Media at Yasar University, Izmir Turkey. He is also Head of Department of Science Culture and Director of Yasar University Open and Distance Learning Centre. His academic focus is in educational technology with research interests in the areas of open and distance learning environment and content enhancement for eLearning. He has more than 15 years working experience as a consultant and researcher in the private and public sectors in Turkey. He has been involving projects of various national and international organizations (The United Nations (UN), Development Agency, European Union, TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) and YÖK (Higher Education Council of Turkey)) as researcher and specialist in creating open and distance learning infrastructure, human resource training and content development. His research interest is education technologies. He also gives lessons about Education Technology, Open and Distance Learning, Technology and Entrepreneurship, Information and communication technologies in education as an instructor.
