After completing her undergraduate education in Uludağ University Education Faculty English Language Teaching Department in 2009, Elif Genç completed her master's degree in Pamukkale University English Language Teaching Department. Since 2009, she has had some academic and administrative duties besides teaching English at various institutions. She has trainings and certificates in the fields of Testing, Assessment and Evaluation, Teacher Training and Leadership and Management. She is still working full-time as a Lecturer at Yaşar University.
